Workforce Education Center

At the Workforce Education Center (WEC), you can gain access to five federally-funded grant programs that aim to help students like you successfully achieve your workforce education goals. Whether it is financial assistance, help with academic planning, access to computers or even learning about what jobs are available to you, WEC is here to support you!

The best part? You only have to complete one application to determine eligibility for all five grants!

 

What funding opportunities are available to me?

  • Basic Food, Employment & Training (BFET)

    BFET offers educational and workforce training opportunities to students receiving Basic Food Assistance.

  • Early Achievers Grant

    Students pursuing a certificate in Early Childhood Education may qualify for funding for tuition, fees, books and more!

  • Opportunity Grant

    Students with a financial need based on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and enrolled in one of four eligible programs of study may qualify for funding to cover tuition, fees, books and supplies, in addition to other services.

  • WorkFirst

    WorkFirst helps Temporary Assistance for Need Families (TANF) recipients become self-sufficient by providing education and training for students who are also parents to complete a certificate or degree.

  • Worker Retraining

    网赌正规真人实体在线平台's Worker Retraining Program serves students who are seeking to upgrade their job skills or pursue a new career in Benton and Franklin counties.

  • Other Student Financial Supports

    WEC offers student financial supports that include Emergency Assistance, Childcare Reimbursement, Travel reimbursement, and Emergency Loans.
